Tami Wiersma, PHR, SHRM-CP
Tami Wiersma established Quad-County Human Resources in 2008. Her goal is to support local small business owners with their personnel needs, freeing them up to create, to sell, to practice and to do what they do best: manage their business! She moved her headquarters to North Orange County in 2010 and QCHR, Inc. was incorporated in 2013.
Tami began her Human Resources career as a technical recruiter in the high-tech design engineering industry. From there she joined a small high-tech engineering design firm as the Accounting and Office Manager, followed by a mid-sized HR consulting practice as an Office Administrator. She quickly expanded her job duties and oversaw their financial operations, office support staff, and consulting projects, all while completing her formal education, before her tenure ended in 2008. She also was instrumental in establishing and actively maintaining an employee hotline, as the department manager and primary liaison responsible for 150 clients with 650 locations and 20,000 employees.
As a Human Resources Consultant, Tami has become business partners with key client companies on a long-term basis. She is actively involved in compliance auditing, developing employee handbooks, job descriptions, and policies and procedures. Tami’s specialty is establishing an HR Department from the ground up or redesigning the HR function to be in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
Tami earned a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources and maintains both a PHR and SHRM-CP designation. She also holds certifications as a Paralegal (from UCLA) and a professional Mediator (from CSUDH). In her spare time, Tami is a fan of Ice Hockey, live music, and enjoys spending time with her two sets of “pre-teen” twin girls!
Her clients have included radio stations, an exclusive Hollywood nightclub, apparel and aerospace manufacturers, restaurants, CPAs, medical offices, e-commerce distributors, a church, several trades and restoration companies, and home health care/domestic worker agencies. She also maintains an active network of business, payroll, bookkeeping, human resources, legal, and administrative professionals, so that her clients have access to well-rounded and efficient support.

Senior Recruiter / Consultant
Katie started her hospitality career as a pastry chef after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America. She switched to management early in her career and focused on food and beverage management for resorts and private clubs. She completed her intermediate-level Sommelier certification and went on to build Wine Spectator Award winning wine programs. She has helped restaurants achieve full-scale turnarounds by lowering food and beverage costs, implementing training programs and employee management systems, and creating a culture of operational excellence.
Coupled with her hospitality management experience, Katie’s desire is to position herself as a restaurateur’s HR guru. She is our senior recruiter and has closed over 50 positions with QCHR’s clients in the past 2 years.
Katie was a professional reined cow horse trainer in a previous life and is still a ranch girl at heart. She is the proud mom of twin boys and lives with her husband in Mission Viejo.
“Yani” joined QCHR in January 2016 and has quickly endeared herself to our staff and clients. She is the friendly voice you will hear when calling our office; she is bi-lingual and is responsible for preparing and translating our HR documents and deliverables.
Helping others comes naturally to Yani, as she has worked in non-profit children’s services for over 6 years prior to coming to QCHR. She is currently studying at Santa Ana College and hopes to finish her studies with a degree in Criminal Psychology. In her downtime, Yani enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Pickles!
